A short selection of anime in music video clips; the list could be way longer but only a few caught my attention more than others.
“The Music Scene” by Blockhead is an organic over the top animation filtered by explosions of colours. The visuals seem to be as one with the flow of the song. Enter the void.
DYE came out pretty strong with this shonen driven anime. Great song and quite a surprise if you were to expect some sweat child-friendly visuals + script. Please more…
On the third video by Ken Ishii you may recognize the style of Koji Morimoto (animation director of Akira, director of Memories -Magnetic Rose- etc.). Some inverted colours parts felt a bit cheap but the overall addictive cyberpunk feel made it to the selection.
There will probably be a part 2 of this post, so stay tuned.

Spanish graphic designer Mark Brooks in his long logo collection. He has the ability to create both simple, coeherent shapes and illustrated one-offs. The small and often non conventional changes in lettering establish an even more memorable logo.
My favourites are Turbine Records and Fuck the dark side, check this one out on his website.

More than dilapidated, houses and rooms seems big hourglasses that measure absence, the unique landscape extension on the mutable skin of the desert.

6 heartsI stumbled across Boreal Network many years ago. Find out only recently that she’s releasing under Jabub’s Moodgadget now. The sound reminds of Boards of Canada (which is always a good thing) and with her tunes, in a weird way, I also enjoy the craftsmanship over a refined studio production.
She only needs to hire a graphic designer/illustrator for the cover arts, they are beyond craftsmanship ;)
Lots of albums to check out, every one with great tracks in it. The one linked is her last one released in November 2013.
Without a doubt worthy of more follows, you can support Boreal Network here.
Nicole Johnson aka Boreal Network releases music also with the pseudonyms Cone Distance and Maousss.

I’m not a big fan of HDR technique, but in some of his shots it’s not an oppressive element, rather a narrative filter that gives relevance to a myriad of lost situations and souls, just faded away from the rooms, the corridors, from earthly existence.
Starry night, a comprehensive guide:
1. put yourself in a starry night;
2. use Skyguide, probabily the best app to navigate stars and constellations;
3. search, read, look as many asters as you can;
4. just breathe;
4. turn off your fucking smartphone (or kindly throw it away, if you prefer);
5. turn on your heart and your brain;
6. enjoy the Universe.
