A selection of photos from 2013 European Space Agency’s mission Volare.
These space paintings, as Ballard would say, seems to be the primitive syntax of a philosophical system, as meaningless but as reassuring as the pattern of waves on a beach.
Rivers as trees of life, cloudy hands raised in the sky, complex wind designs, oceans of sand are sorts of macroscopic pantomimes of an ethereal code, imprinted both inside and outside us.
Space stations act like microscopes of the infinite. As above, so below. More pictures here.

A2-Type released in 2012 the Regular font. Designed by Henrik Kubel the font is a geometric sans serif, unmistakably inspired by Stymie and Futura typefaces and that’s exactly where this mix shows all the potential. The lowercase letters are more usable, especially in ‘regular’ sizes, 10-13 points. Quicker than the Stymie to read and still more recognizable than both Stymie and Futura.
Check out other fonts too, A2-Type is one of my favourite newest type foundries.

Heavy vfx in this live mixed vj. It feels like everything is melting and the non-linear, sound inspired repeated editing generates new significances. More mainstream stuff should be treated like this and I’m sure it will.

Imagine the first morning of Time, in which a demiurge entrusted the vital message of violence and awe to a visual messenger, preserving the scheme of a will.

Bureau of Visual Art is the archive of work by Matt Krygowski. A New Yorker living in the United Kingdom.
His work reminds me of Italian artist Gianni Bertini and graphic design guru Josef Müller-Brockmann.
BVA is a project I started to archive as much as possible of my experimental work. You won’t see actual comissioned or client work here, for that visit Madeform.
While documenting and experimenting with new ideas for me it’s also a way of changing my workspace, approach to working, documenting them and archiving.
Elia Pirazzo is a young graphic designer from Padova, Italy. He’s still a student but his creations are stunning. Clean, fresh and elegant shapes and a racy study of typography. A promise for the future.
