Among all the nations of antiquity, altars, mounds, and temples were dedicated to the worship of the orb of day. The ruins of these sacred places yet remain, notable among them being the pyramids of Yucatan and Egypt, the snake mounds of the American Indians, the Zikkurats of Babylon and Chaldea, the round towers of Ireland, and the massive rings of uncut stone in Britain and Normandy.
The Tower of Babel, which, according to the Scriptures, was built so that man might reach up to God, was probably an astronomical observatory.

Very useful for students or new Cinema 4D users. It is also a nice way of promoting his own work; post well deserved.

The best thing we can do for the moment is to throw ourselves at the feet of the statue of some god.
DEMOSTHENES
Of which statue? Any statue? Do you then believe there are gods?

The body is an evolutionary architecture that operates and becomes aware in the world.
To alter it’s architecture is to adjust it’s awareness. The body has always been a prosthetic body, one augmented by its instruments and machines. There has always been a danger of the body behaving involuntarily and of being conditioned automatically.
A Zombie is a body that performs involuntarily, that does not have a mind of it’s own.
A Cyborg is a human-machine system There has always been a fear of the involuntary and the automated. Of the Zombie and the Cyborg. But we fear what we have always been and what we have already become.

The more he identifies with the dominant images of need, the less he understands his own life and his own desires. The spectacle’s estrangement from the acting subject is expressed by the fact that the individual’s gestures are no longer his own; they are the gestures of someone else who represents them to him.
