Asserting that we “possess” a mind generates an unnecessary retro recursiveness of logic. Rather our evolutionary architecture generates our operation and awareness of the world.
There is no “I” in the way we generally imagine. There is only a body that interacts with other bodies, situated in history.
The “I” is a language construct that compresses a more complex interactive situation. What is important is not what’s “in” you or me but rather what happens between us, in the medium of language within which we communicate, in the social institutions within which we operate, in the culture that we’ve been conditioned by – at this point in time in our history.

Federico Infante, born in Santiago, Chile in 1982. Federico Infante works predominantly in the medium of painting, he received his BFA from Finis Terrae University (Santiago, Chile) in 2002 and graduated in Spring 2013 with his MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York. He is currently living and working in New York.
He was the recipient of the Uanlane Foundation Scholarship (2012), the Conicyt Scholarship (2009), and the Juan Downey Grant (2004). He has had several successful solo and group exhibitions in Chile and New York. His work has been adopted into private collections across the US and internationally, including France, Belgium, Germany and Singapore.3 hearts

There is a standard device to whip the domestic population of any country into line in support of policies that they oppose: induce fear of some terrifying enemy, poised to destroy them.
“The evil scourge of terrorism” was a natural choice for this role in the early 1980s, as the United States sought to concoct an enemy weak enough to be attacked with impunity but sufficiently threatening to mobilize the general population in support of the Reaganite expansion of state power at home and violence abroad.
The threat waned when it became necessary to face the costs of these policies a few years later. The media rallied enthusiastically to the enterprise.
